In November we approached the South African Board of People Practises (SABPP), because we had just learned of their collaborative work on the new Leadership Standard. The SABPP united leaders across multiple spheres of society in a drive for higher standards of leadership. Their vision is aligned to ours: we see latent potential for higher performance and more sustainable growth that can be unlocked with the right leadership principles.
What is the Leadership Standard?
The Leadership Standard sets a reference framework for dialogue and shared progress. It does not impose a specific philosophy. Rather, it set key performance indicators – alongside sharp questions. It provides an array of points to deliberate, which are helpful to balance leadership efforts.
You can download the Leadership Standard from the SABPP website.
Precise assessment for developing your unique style
The approach we have been using at Prefrontal is complimentary to the Leadership Standard. We use the Eunoia Personal Construct Assessment, which provides deep insight into an array of leadership capacities. It is an innovative tool used across the world to resolve chronic problems in complex businesses and complex cultures.
The Eunoia method compliments the Leadership Standard by doing the following:
Participants get laser precision insights into which concepts would be most helpful for them to learn.
The Eunoia questionnaire takes only 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
The assessment is coupled with a 3-day workshop in which concepts are explored on a personal level and with case studies on the organisational impact.
If you would like to learn more about the workshop we are planning in partnership with Eunoia Leadership, simply follow this link to the Leading in Complexity Workshop.
Overall, the SABPP's endorsement of our workshop has affirmed our belief that we can make a precise and valuable contribution to push for higher quality leadership in South Africa.
